Welcome to our website.  We hope you find it informative and interesting and a valuable insight into life here at Westleigh St Paul’s.

At St Paul’s we are passionate about learning and growing in a safe, nurturing and welcoming environment.

Our Christian ethos encompasses all aspects of school life shown in our mission statement.

We provide the children with lots of opportunities for first hand experiences to enhance their learning, and strive towards all children making progress according to their abilities.

Our learning challenge curriculum enables us to do this in a creative meaningful way.

Above all, we believe that learning should be fun and if you visit our school, that will be evident by the smiles you will see on the children’s faces.

Our motto is “Working Together, Playing Together” and this is something staff, children, parents and governors believe in, resulting in a happy school where children can reach their full potential!

Dear Parent/Carer,

School will be fully closed from Friday 3rd April until Monday 20th April.

If at any point during this closure you need support or have safeguarding concerns about a child please email enquiries@admin.westleighsaintpuals.wigan.sch.uk or N.Crowther@westleighsaintpauls.wigan.sch.uk as well as contacting Social Care.

It is highly likely school will remain closed for the majority of our children even after 20th April. With this in mind, school will only be partially open to children of key workers and/or vulnerable pupils identified and contacted by school.

The expectation remains that key workers requiring child care must make a request to school and will only be available to those who have no other options. This can be done by emailing E.Hazeldine@westleighsaintpauls.wigan.sch.uk by Wednesday 1st April.

Sending your child to school should be an absolute last resort in order for us all to play our part in tackling the spread of this virus together. The fewer children making the journey to school, and the fewer children in educational settings, the lower the risk that the virus can spread and infect vulnerable individuals in wider society.

After Easter it is my understanding that provision of free school meals will probably continue through a voucher scheme. As yet we have no further information on this but will keep you up to date as we find out more.

The weeks ahead will undoubtedly be challenging for everyone. As we continue through these extraordinary times I would like to thank the staff and governors for their ongoing support.

As we move into the season of Easter I wish you blessings of love, hope, peace good health and happiness to you and all your family.
