Year 6 have loved learning about plastic pollution and the effect it has on our planet. We have managed to change our behaviour and behaviours around school to think more about the impact we are having on our world.
Year 6 looked at images of the Blitz during our learning about World War II and created these silhouettes to represent some of these events.
Spotlight poetry based on @Letters from the Lighthouse’ by Emma Carroll. We chose a page of text and highlighted words to create our own poems using the words of the author. We had to select carefully to achieve the impact we wanted on our audience.
In this weeks session with Leanne (Purley Wellbeing), we created glitter jars to help with meditation, being mindful and to help to pause to think.
We had some brilliant World Book Day costumes today, some very imaginative ones. Well done everyone fantastic turn out.
